I remember a story about this place, might have been in Forecourt Trader but possibly elsewhere, about the owner and how he wasn't happy with offers from fuel companies for supplies, and in particular the Harvest branding but when offered Total as a brand he felt it was a name people could trust. He went with Total and this site was transformed to be now an extremely rare Total site featuring their last good logo! Indeed this site was incredibly scruffy back a few years, the May 2019 Steetview shows it as a dilapidated Murco shorn of its pole sign and quite possibly closed. I'm guessing Mr Vijay hadn't bought the garage at that point. It was one of the few forecourts open on this day, a bank holiday for the queen's funeral. No surprise he wasn't interested in a day off to dutifully watch the event and neither was I!
