Shell - High Street, Selsey, West Sussex early 1960s

Here we see another view along Selsey High Steet, taken from a slightly different viewpoint to the previous shot I posted, see below. In this image we see a Shell pole sign on the left and pump on the right. I am pretty certain they were directly connected as the pumps are Shell pumps although hard to tell in this image it is clear in the other one. Where the pole sign was, there is clear evidence on Streetview that the garage lasted, expanded, gained a canopy and eventually became a hand car wash in recent years. Before that it had been the site for Hillfield Garage at the back and Selsey Car Sales Centre at the front. Over to the right where the pumps are in this image, there is no evidence left at all that there was ever a fuel outlet there. Even the Barclays Bank has recently gone, that's not a real surprise in this modern era, banks are closing all the time now!
