BP - 123 High Street, Harston, Cambridgeshire in the Snow

Here's another of those snowy scenes taken a few weeks ago in my local area. The garage here has existed since 1927 and is the last of the petrol stations in Harston, it used to have at least three! In its early days it was Rob Bass Garage, it was a pretty small concern in that era but in time expanded to become by the 1970s and early 1980s a large Shell branded forecourt. It changed brand to Esso in about 1989, maybe just into 1990 and upno that change the entire site was demolisehd and rebuilt to the footprint we still see to this day. I'm not sure when it ended up with the BP branding it has now but certainly at least twenty years ago. It is currently under the ownership of MFG. Lots of great old photos showing all this history here
