Repsol - Tipton Garage, Tipton St John, Devon EX10 0AF 5
It's good to see this old Repsol sign is still standing after all the years since that brand effectively left the British market. The price board was up to date so they are still selling petrol from here, but at what was just after 5.30pm (their clock was wrong!) they were already closed for the day for that side of the business, hence the recovery truck blocking access! Talking of access there's an old sign for that credit card company still there on the side of the building. I was last here in 2016 and little has changed, Richard has a photo from a couple of years earlier than that when the Repsol sign was in better condition, in his photo he claims this was the last Repsol site left in the country but that's not true, at least from the point of a pole sign, as will be made clear with some photos I will post in a while! Friendly staff here who were happy for me to take these photos - always nice when that happens!
