Having just reached the landmark of 10,000 petrol station photos now posted I thought it was apposite to reach this point by featuring for a second time the very first petrol station I ever posted. If you check back to the very first photos in my stream you will see this garage taken in June 2014. However I will save you the trouble by adding as first comment below.
Here we are just over eight years later so I have been posting approximately 1,250 petrol station photos a year. In order to do this I had to move this garage out of chronological order by a few hours, something I would not normally do! From tomorrow I'll be moving from my June trip to Northumberland onto my recent road trip back to the south west and south west Wales and that theme will last until well into next year and include one brand of petrol I have never seen before! Many of those images to come will be places being posted for the very first time, just as most of the ones from the Northumberland trip were. In addition for a couple of days I'll be adding a few really strange photos I've been holding back for this landmark, they aren't petrol stations but they really are worth seeing! Oh I'm such a tease haha.
So the R&F Nattrass garage pictured here has hardly changed in the last eight years, one of the older pumps has disappeared and the price of petrol has gone up significantly but otherwise it looks the same, lovely to see that is the case. It's still branded One Green Route as it has been throughout Streetview and might be the only one left in the country - can anyone else confirm that? Places like this are exactly what my photostream has been all about over these eight years and there will, I hope, be many more of these to come in the ensuing years.
