Gulf - Darlington Road, Richmond, North Yorkshire DL10 7AW 1
This is a challenging place to photograph, no easy parking anywhere nearby, no easy view of the full site and with strong sun ruling out one direction these were the best I could do. This was a Total site prior to the switch to Gulf, and at some point the pole sign logo was changed to the modern image with a white background, still fairly unusual for this era. Nearby there was a second garage in Victoria Road, now rebuilt after a fire and branded Total Energies in the preset day, but had also been Total back in the earliest Streetview shots before a long stint with Harvest up to the fire. Stupidly I thought that one was permanently gone so did not photograph it - only found out today it had been rebuilt! Putting all this together suggests there might have been a time when both of these sites were branded Total simultaneously. Richard has a photo of this place as Total which you can see below.
