Bulldog - Station Road Garage, 63-67 High Street, Stalham, Norfolk December 7th 1984
This, I hope, is a suitably lovely image to get to the incredible landmark of 3,000 photos. The only sadness at this point is that my supply of older photos is fast coming to an end - I do have some more but not such that I can continue to post them daily. I chose this photo for many reasons, one being that it's an East Anglian scene as so many of my photos have been, maybe a third, if not more. It also features a long lost brand, and a relatively rare one at that, which was really only seen in East Anglia with a few exceptions. It also captures the era of my passage into adulthood :o)
Lots of lovely features to appreciate here apart from the Bulldog branding and all the excellent extra signs, the floor sign for the brand, the bunting, the Alfa Romeo signs on the wall, the Michelin signs, the small kiosk building for the fuel sales, the bell line across the forecourt and the AA and RAC signs. It pretty much has every feature I'd want to see! In addition the ladder leaning against the building suggests some maintenance going on and the lady walking past with pram and small child has a hairstyle perhaps inspired by Siouxsie Sioux, it would be the right era.
The garage here was, well before this photo was taken, a Shell site. For those of you who are on Facebook and members of the Golden Days of the Great British Petrol Station you can see that image here

Sadly the garage here did not last, I don't know if it made it to being branded Anglo or not, but certainly it had fully met its demise before Streetview came along. The site is now occupied by a row of shops.
