Shell - Brian Steeds, 2-4 Wellesborne Road, Barford, Warwickshire mid 1960's
This is a scene long since gone, the amazing car went in probably a few minutes, the garage some years later. The road here was eventually bypassed and no doubt that took business, but if it wasn't that then legislation outlawing kerbside pumps would have been the final straw. It looks very much like the garage building we see here was converted into a house and the rest of the premises saw more houses built into a small cul de sac called Steeds Court, a nice little tribute to the garage that was once there.
The car looks reminiscent of a Ford Thunderbird but I am pretty sure it isn't, certainly it was gaining interest with the chap pointing at it in the photo.
