Multiple Brands - Kingston Hill Motor Works, 35-41 Kingston Hill, Kingston Upon Thames, Surrey 1930s 3

These are some very fine old photos of a pre-war garage. I haven't been able to find out much more about this place than is seen here in these photos. One thing is for certain, it hasn't existed for a long time - now replaced by a very ugly modern building!

This is clearly an earlier photo, the price of petrol is just over a shilling a gallon and the pump globes indicate that Shell, BP, National and ROP were on sale. Plenty of Rover signs within the building so I think it can be assumed they were Rover dealers.

It looks like there are tram tracks running up the road and nearest someone has travelled back in time to deposit a CD on the road!
