Shell and Esso - High Street, Eccleshall, Staffordshire early 1970s
Two for the price of one here - the nearer Shell garage the building has remained looking very garage like despite now being the entrance to a shopping arcade whereas it is much harder to make out where the further away Esso garage was. Perhaps it was down the little alley that one can see more clearly on the GSV just beyond the Midland Bank - now an HSBC of course. Even the nearer Shell garage appears to only have the one pump outside.
