BP - Quasar Cube Car, Unknown Location 1967
I have no idea where this BP garage was but likely to be in London and possibly near to where it was manufactured so around the Perivale area. This weird looking box car, designed by French-Vietnamese designer and engineer Quasar Kahn was only in production for a couple of years in the late 1960's. The car had a unique cube-like appearance, with sliding glass doors. It was apparently six feet by six feet by six feet hence the name cube car. The seats were plastic and inflatable. The engine was a four cylinder 1100 cc BMC model with automatic transmission. Bizarre to think one could get a puncture in ones seat rather than a tyre!
