Multiple Brands - Walkington, East Yorkshire 1930's

Here's another great old postcard of a roadside garage with pumps needing big boom arms to make the hose reach the car. Shell and BP petrol ( one shilling and four pence a gallon) are on sale as well as Esso Oil one assumes by the sign on the building. Also there is an advert for Park Drive suggesting that cigarettes were also sold from here, looks like two vending machines just to the right of the Park Drive sign. The building still exists today but of course there is no evidence at all that this little petrol outlet ever existed. www.google.com/maps/@53.8197562,-0.4914949,3a,75y,279.27h...
