AW & D Hammond have run this garage for at least the last thirty years and probably a lot longer. It was a Ford garage in 1990 as we can see from the older photo below but also in those days selling BP petrol whereas today although still a Ford dealer it now sells Jet petrol. There really aren't many garages that have remained architectually identical over such a time span and that alone makes this an interesting site. not only is the building the same but so is the canopy.
