Multiple Brands - High Street, Bognor, Sussex late 1920's
This scene has, as one might expect, changed rather a lot over the last hundred years. Everything on the left has changed whereas the right hand side is mostly the same or similar. Amazingly Reynolds furniture shop still exists in that location in the present day! The clock reading a quarter to four is still there and perhaps more amazingly there are more cars showing in the 1920's than in the present day! The garage is selling Pratts and Shell, not sure of the third brand but possibly Dominion. There is also a Mobil oil cabinet in view. Garages in the high street would not have lasted into the modern day so one would expect this to have been long gone by the time we reached the 1980's. Here's the same view today
