Multiple Brands - Butlers Garage, White Horse Street, Baldock, Hertfordshire early 1930's
Whilst all the buildings remain largely the same the occupiers have definitely changed. What was once Butler's garage is now The Garden House Hospice, I think a charity shop for that concern and not a hospice directly. The building to the left just out of shot shows an archway with a path through to the back of these premises which would have been commonplace in garages of this era. The pumps indicate National Benzole, Pratts and Shell on sale so immediately prior to 1935 when Pratts became Esso. Elsewhere there are signs for Clincher Tyres, Dunlop, Rover and British Dominion. Overall a lovely scene of England between the wars. www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.9906426,-0.1874554,3a,75y,189.3...
