Amoco - Unknown Location Circa 1970
I think the girl is serving the man here but cannot be totally sure. It's a perfect period photo though, an overweight man in shirt and tie and a young lady in a mini skirt and open cardigan with an Amoco pump in shot - a brand that had all but disappeared from the UK by the end of the 1980's. I'd guess this photo to be very early 1970's due to the car registration plates and the dress of the two in shot. Looking more closely it is 80p a gallon for four star so that makes the date 1970 if pre-decimalisation or 1978 if after. It's the old style Amoco logo on the pump so I'll stick with my original gut feeling and say 1970.
