Former Total - Buckingham & Stanley, Shelford Road, Trumpington, Cambridgeshire
This garage has been here for a very very long time. In the 1930's it was Bert Carter's Garage and sold a variety of brands. In the 1960's it was Reg Carter's Garage and sold Esso petrol. In the early 1970's it became Richard Wells Reliance Garage, expanded by building to the side of the existing garage after two houses were demolished, and sold Total petrol. Buckingham and Stanley have two sites in the Cambridge area, their original premises in Histon opened in 1968 and remains to this day.
