Lovely surviving example (architecturally) of village service station with a super friendly owner who was kind enough to move a van out of the way to allow me a better photograph. I did explain to them my purpose in taking the photographs and they took me on a trip down memory lane referring to the days when this was a busy route for holidaymakers and how there were petrol stations at three mile intervals all along the road.
