I've got a few photos which show the rather sexist way in which young ladies were employed by the petrol companies in the late 60's and 70's. From the original press release....... "Debs, who will launch the new aristocrat of the petrol pumps - European Petroleum - at the Dorchester Hotel, Park Lane, London. (From l-r) Nikki Phillips, 18, Roxana Lampson, 20, Carolyne Houston, 17, Olivia Smithers, 18, Moranna Cazenove, 20, Rosemary Walduck, 19, Fiona Hughes, 21, and Anne Dunhill, 20. The company intends that at each new petrol station selling their product the pumps shall be operated by debs or former debs during the first hour."
