National - Vale Garage, Lower Luton Road, The Folly, Wheathampstead, Hertfordshire 1958
Scan from magazine advert. The garage was at a place called The Folly near Wheathampstead on the B653. I have checked and there is absolutely no trace of this garage whatsoever now. However in the earliest Streetview we see the remains of a soon to be demolished Proteus outlet with the later rarely seen modified logo. There's a short article that goes with this advert talking about this chap who left the army in 1956 and decided to go it alone in the motor trade, settled on this site for a petrol station etc and was, according to the advert, doing 30% better than anticipated - the magic of National Benzole :o)
