Multiple Brands - Mead's Garage, Bath Road, Taplow, Berkshire 1955

There is somewhat surprisingly not much information about this garage given it was clearly a fine landmark on the old main London to Bath road. I believe it was probably here www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.523983,-0.7038161,3a,75y,319.02... In those days Shell and Cleveland were on the menu whereas today it is Texaco. As an aside and not petrol station related, this garage is only a stone's throw from Brunel's magnificent railway bridge over the River Thames - one of the marvels of Victorian engineering and specifically a great testimony to Brunel's genius - he was way ahead of his time - and one of my absolute heroes of British history. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maidenhead_Railway_Bridge
