Continuing with a brief series of photos showing the mild sexism in the fuel industry in the past. Of course it wasn't only the fuel industry that operated in this way in the past, pretty much every field of business did so in the 1950's right through to the end of the 1980's. Nevertheless there are some great vintage brands on show here - EP and European in the foreground and a Gainsborough tanker lurking in the background as well. From the original press release........"Competing in a balloon-blowing contest at the Essex Show, Great Leighs, Chelmsford, are two members of the European Petroleum bikini girl team and two members of the EP debutantes in the petrol battle"
