Pace - Peachey Garage, North Weald Bassett, Essex
This at first glance doesn't appear that strange but it is! This is the third time I've photographed this garage and each time it has been slightly different. In September 2015 it was branded Gulf and open selling fuel. By January 2017 the pump covers were on the pumps and it appeared to be closing down - and now the pump covers are still on the pumps but the garage has been re-branded to Pace - prices sky high on the totem too. The Harvest down the road is 12p a litre cheaper or in old measurements about 50p a gallon cheaper! Not sure what's going on - do they put pump covers on every evening. Strange. Back in 2009 this was one of the few Spur branded garages (the lovely Jack's Hatch garage now the only one) as can be seen on Streetview www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.7135574,0.1637889,3a,37.5y,200.... By the look of the pumps here it may have been branded Proteus before that.
