I've estimated the date from the price of the petrol as given on the pumps but it could be quite a range of dates as petrol was pretty stable in price in this era. Sadly this fine building would appear not to have lasted and it is now a much more modern looking Shell station at this location www.google.com/maps/@53.7776053,-2.7098815,3a,75y,211.7h,... Even the pub The Withy Trees is being converted for use as a Muslim centre in the present day. I have added a photo from distance that I took in 2018 as a comment below.
