Gainsborough and Shell - Haywards Garage, Girton, Cambridgeshire 1960's part b
Here's another example of better photos of a garage I had already posted turning up. Combining the two individual photos into this one big picture didn't actually take that long. It shows the rarely seen Gainsborough pump globes as well as some with Shell. The globes on the pillars at the garage entrance was a common sight up to the 1960's but soon after both the pillar globes and pump globes had pretty much disappeared altogether. It's a shame that the totem isn't any more visible but if it was the same as it was in the other photo I have then not actually that exciting!
