Snake on the Lake
Life on the lake—the day our two grandchildren were with us we happened to see not one but two bull snakes swimming across the water while being harassed and attacked by a pair of red-winged blackbirds who were aggressively defending their nesting territory! The first snake swam fairly close to Jenessa, and when the second snake came along, Josh, after being reassured these weren't mean snakes, wanted to get as close as possible! The blackbird shots were from a fair distance so are more for the action than the quality of the photograph, but I got some nice closeups from our dock!
