Objective 3: Composition Techniques – Use the guide on the website
4. Backgrounds: For the background I had to get closer to the flowers than I thought I would have to, because I wanted it to seem like there were more flowers than there actually were (it was a teensy little patch of them) so I got close and took the shot, and it looked how I wanted. There seems to be a large group of flowers that continue into the background.
6. Pattern: The pattern is the repetition of the flowers throughout the photo, which helps to add to the feeling I wanted in the background.
9. Colour: The colour in the photo is analogous, which makes the photo seem more peaceful, and adds a natural feeling to the photo. If it was not analogous it would seem more chaotic (not in a bad sense, because when green and pink are in a photo it is a balanced chaos since they are complimentary) but the green and yellow makes this photo seem relaxed.
12. Balance: If the flowers that are in focus were the only flowers in the photo, it would seem less balanced because there would be nothing occupying the space left empty where other flowers normally would be.
