Lothian 244 at Ocean Drive, Edinburgh.

Open top bus (244 in the Lothian fleet) was seen picking up passengers (after their visit to the former royal yacht, “Britannia” ) at the temporary tours stop at Ocean Terminal, Leith. All stops at Ocean Terminal were relocated last year owing to the extensive tram works in front of the shopping centre, which is just visible on the extreme right. The former royal yacht - berthed at the Port of Leith since 1998 - is itself prominent on the right. The building immediately behind the bus - currently shared by an advertising agency, the Cruise Liner terminal and offices for Forth Ports Leith - was the original Britannia visitor centre before the vessel and the visitor centre relocated to Ocean Terminal itself. Tram rails will soon be laid on Ocean Drive in the foreground as part of the Trams to Newhaven project due to complete in 2023. The 2016 registered bus carries the blue and yellow livery for the Majestic Tour, one of three branded tours operated by Lothian.
