Kinnaird Head Lighthouse (new)
Fraserburgh, Scotland
The original lighthouse was built in 1787, and was the first lighthouse constructed by the Northern Lighthouse Board. It was redesigned by Robert Stephenson in 1824 to house a new light. A fog signal building was added in 1902, and a radio beacon was installed in 1929. The functioning light was replaced by this new, automated light in 1991.
