As time goes by...
I tried a black and white version this time of The Church & School of the Society of Jesus, Antigua, Guatemala.
In the background the picks of El Fuego (the active one) and Acatenango Volcanoes.
The church of the Society of Jesus started building in 1561 and remained in good condition after the earthquake in 1773, but it was eventually destroyed by the 1917 and 1979 earthquakes.
Antigua is a city surrounded by volcanoes. It’s renowned for its Spanish colonial buildings and it was declared UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979.
