A cold night down at the Quays

A Friday evening visit to the Quays to see Lightwaves 2017 with fellow Flickrites - Eddie Coulson and Mark Dixon turned out to be a bit of an anticlimax as this year's installations proved to be a bit of a letdown. However, the Quays at night never fails to deliver its own spectacle, but an hour in the freezing wind blowing up the basin had us packing up and heading for somewhere to eat.
I hadn't really looked at the images in detail until today, and besides it's been a long time since I posted a night time shot... in fact it's been that long they've built the new Alchemist bar and restaurant. That funny shape to the left of the Lowry Theatre that now blocks the Detroit Bridge.
