Green Axles
The Puckle gun
This was made for the second round of Painoflego's weapon crafter contest over on tumblr. This round's challenge was to make a pre- 19th century firearm. After scrolling trough a list on wikipedia, I finally found a gun which had a rather interesting design: the Puckle gun. Named after it's creator, James Puckle, this weapon was one of the first "machine guns" even tough it would not be considered one by modern standards. The weapon was fired via manual flintlocke system and the barrel rotated thanks to crew-served system. For more information regarding this gun, I suggest reading up on it's Wikipedia page.
