Surrender: Ophelia Revisited
Drowning in the cold dark chasm of despair and longing, unable to breathe, waves overtake me and my wounded heart.
Then I surrender.
No longer tossed about on a sea of uncertainty, I start to float. My pulse slows and my heart heals.
Then I surrender more.
Focusing on the depths of truth and love, I find refreshing breaths of life and worth.
My heart beats in colorful tides and I am surrounded in warmth.
Then I surrender my all.
Ophelia lost her hope and her life to the cold waters of fear and rejection. She placed her worth in the wrong people and things. Resuscitation starts with the Breath of Life. Life and love is a process. Give yourself the grace of time. Progress is progress. Dory would say to just keep swimming. I say, why swim, when you can learn to walk on water?
Speaking of processing and learning...I taught myself a few new things this week. This photo is a double image done in Photoshop. It's something I have never tried before and I am enjoying the results.
I hope you all keep your heads above water during this holiday season and try something new.
Thank you for the kind favs and comments. They are always appreciated. Happy Sunday Flickr Friends!
