This is an A1 mood board from my current three week project on up-cycling. In this project I have begun to unpick and reconstruct garments that I have been given. I wanted these pieces to be simple and understated while still fitting the brief and have aimed the style towards high end high street; young men and teens who have an interest in fashion. The sketches on this board are my proposed ideas and the fabric swatches are all from my chosen garments. I have been inspired by how current this theme is, with Craig Green, Neil Barrett and Valentino all working with patchwork and reconstruction. Which in turn inspired the final suede and shearling jumper/jacket I am working on (sketches created in Photoshop at the bottom).
