Durdle Door, Dorset, UK

Return of the Beast

It never snows in Dorset. That's what they say. It can snow all over the UK but we always seem to escape it. Well, we've just had our second snowfall in two weeks, and today I headed down to Dorset's most iconic coastal location to capture it in the snow.

This is the first shot I took! It's snowing heavily, as you will see if you enlarge the image. This made it tricky to keep the lens clean long enough to get a shot.

I'm so glad I made the effort to get down there, though. The snow has virtually all gone already. Dozens of photographers were there today, capturing this unique scene. It was a joy to behold.

Visit www.earthfocusphototours.com if you'd like to join us on our upcoming photo tours in May, in Dorset and Cornwall. I can't promise you snow, but I can promise you stunning coastal scenery like this that will put a smile on your face just like I had today :)
