Batchelor impalas

Young male impala are forced out of the large female herds that are watched over by a single dominant male. They form small herds on their own in marginal territory outside the main herd starting around 8 months of age. They engage in play fighting and grooming and aspire to take over a female group as the dominant male (does any recent human news come to mind 😆). This pair seems to be playing the 'my horns are bigger than your horns' game.
