Seconds after the previous image, an agressive elephant mock-charges out of the bush onto the dirt road sucking up and blowing dust out of its trunk and stamping its feet, Mabula, South Africa. In a mock-charge an elephant stops short of its target with a trunk-swing or aggressively kicking and blowing dust. This young elephant may have been in musth, a periodic condition in bull elephants characterized by a large rise in testosterone levels and accompanied by highly aggressive behaviour.
