Proud Tree Hugger

It's Saturday once again, hurray!

That means I have Dad home for the whole weekend. As usual,

we were off to an early start this morning, despite the freezing

temperature (-21C/-28C depending on wind chill).

And haven't I grown, lately? I'm nearly big as a tree! We found this cool-looking dead one (it's so wet in this area that most of the trees around here can't grow to a large size unless they are on higher ground) tucked into a large clearing in the Mer Bleue Bog area. It was easy to get here because, due to the freeze/thaw cycle we've experienced the past while, this cold snap has frozen the top layer of snow so hard you can walk over it without breaking through--even for Dad, and he could stand to lose a couple.

(Hey, this is not about me!)

Just sayin', Pops.
