Live life off leash
One Year of Saturday Morning Post Milestone
196. Clancy, 3yrs 32wks
Greetings dogs and dog lovers everywhere! Clancy here, and I'm proud to tell you that our SMP is now a year old. Here's how it all happened:
In May 2013 Dad became a Flickr member to download some of the mounting volume of photos he was accumulating during our walks around our wonderful city of Ottawa.
This is his Flickr site:

I was a year and a half old at that time, and he soon realized that the occassional photo of me he uploaded usually got more attention than his other photos (Dad says not to rub this in, and I won't). So in Jan 2014, when I was 2yrs 8wks, he opened another Flickr site just for me.
He started my photostream with the very first picture he took of me the day Mom and Dad brought me home from a farm in south eastern Ontario, when I was 9wks old.
Here it is, marked as 1.Clancy-Pants, 65 days:

Then he continued posting every few days in chronological
order my rise from puppyhood until reaching my actual age,
in June 2015, which was by then 2yrs 32wks. That was when
our SMP was born, where we started uploading 'real time'
photos, usually from that morning's walk, though sometimes
from a day or two earlier depending on circumstances and
photo quality.
Here is our very first SMP from June 27 2015:

Our routine since has stayed pretty much the same, with
Saturdays for my chronological updates (SMP); Tuesdays for
older throwback photos; and the odd holiday or vacation upload days to add to the chronology just for fun.
And so here we are one year later on this very early A.M. Saturday, posting a sort of tribute to our first SMP. As you can see, I've got Dad pretty well trained now as my spare ball carrier. He's wearing his anti-fly gear because though the mosquitoes are no worse than usual, the deer fly population is running rampant. With my longish fur, I'm fairly well protected, though my snout gets the occassional bite. Really, considering the cloud of flies that at times swirls above my head on our walks through the denser bush, not many actually settle down looking for a meal, and those that do are often disposed of by Dad, who seems more bothered by their landing on me than I am.
Thank you everyone for your kind words, for sharing your great photos, and making this all so much fun. Dad wants you to know that even though my Flickr site is for me and dog-related photos only, he still looks at all the photos you upload through the 'People' selection off the 'You' menu, and has much praise for the abundance of quality among them.
Here's to another great year!
