Her inspiration is drawn from the beauty and magic of dreams and nature, often incorporating ethereal clouds and whimsical animals into her pieces. Dedicated to her craft, she aims to evoke a sense of wonder and enchantment in her viewers, particularly children. Through her art, Kowalski strives to help people cope and find respite from the chaos of the world by offering something that is both captivating and serene. With a passion for bringing joy and beauty into the lives of others, she continues to create pieces that capture the imagination and soothe the soul.
This particular piece, Jennifer had a specific employee at KU’s son as the subject. She painted her son a bit older than his current age to help him identify with the painting into his teen years. The toddler has had some struggles with monsters and bad dreams. Jennifer wanted to create a scene in the theme of his current bedroom style that would be a light and calming image he can see in dim lighting. Her hope is that the image will help distract him from the fears that others may not understand.
Being a KU employee, Jennifer is sometimes the first person a patient speaks to when trying to navigate a very scary part of their life’s problems. Her heart is in her Artwork. She hopes for a peaceful world for everyone and strives to push that narrative through her Artwork.
