Artist Statement: I started making these anthropomorphic animal paintings last year just as something fun to do with canvases but then they became my Christmas gift for my animal lover family. This one is of my sister's dog Tig who is a grumpy old man that is loved very much by our family. Our animals bring so much joy comfort and pain and I love pulling their personalities out in this work to help their owners feel more connected to them.
