Artist Statement: I started quilting in 2014 at the urging of my sister and it became a way for us to collaborate on projects from a distance. I enjoy having something tangible to show for my efforts and I’m able to see how my skills have improved with every project. I started taking workshops remotely during the pandemic from a European designer who had not previously offered online classes. This has allowed me to explore new designs and techniques which inspires endless variations. I’ve completed at least 30 quilts but I’ve given almost all of them away.
