Artist Statement on the theme Transformed and Transcended: I wrote this song some years back and when coming back to it this year, I felt it needed a happier closure, so I added the last two verses, which also tie into the song I wrote and submitted for last year's submission. Lastly, the last verse is inspired by a quote from Abraham Lincoln, which I think is very much needed in this day and age.
