2020 KU Art Show “From the Ashes: How we have thrived in this season of tumult”
In March of 2020 the University of Kansas Medical Center and Medical School changed. As we adapted to working and learning from home, adjusting our spaces and families to a new reality we experience fear, anxiety, discomfort, frustration and loneliness. Things changed, became harder, caused divide and strife.
But ….
We persevered, dug deep for new resilience and found joy in the hardness. From the ashes of our former reality we created. Either with our neighborhoods or in our homes, we found ways to celebrate the beauty and preciousness of this time. This show captures some of those experiences.
