Worlds: Neptune
Artist: Stephanie Aron, medical school class of 2024
Category: Watercolor
I usually don’t get to paint very often, so one of the silver linings of the pandemic has been the free time it provided and being able to use that time to be creative and express myself. Out of the four years I’ve been painting, nearly half of the works I’ve done were in the past eight months.
Each of my paintings has a very specific source of inspiration and I love seeing how that is reflected in the final piece. Bacchus (commissioned work) was inspired by Arizona and the desert, Neptune by the movie “Song of the Sea,” and Virgo by astrological sign. I chose to submit these three specifically because they are some of my favorites and really represent my style.
