Sheet Project
The aim of this project was to use a sheet and add to it research and experimentation based on the theme of Wealth and/or Poverty. I used photo transfer, manipulated material using a heat gun, and used blackboard paint - to mention a few. In particular I focused on women in poverty, looking at the need for better access to education, as well as physical abuse and child marriage. I manipulated the material in such ways to represent these - for example, looking at different ways of cutting and tearing material. As the final piece, I made this hooded garment from the sheet in order to represent a means of protection.
