Plum and Camelia Draw String Skirt
Here is one of my recently completed kimono remakes. The fabric for this skirt was originally gifted to me from a friend. Much of the kimono had already been used for her own sewing projects, but the kimono skirt (with all the lining and sewing still intact) was given to me. I took that skirt, and modified it so it can be worn as a western style draw string skirt. It features a bold pattern of plum and camelia blossoms on a black background. The shirt I have paired with the skirt is actually a vintage piece inherrited from my grandmother.
