First Nations
This is our First Nations kitsuke. I collaborated with Alyssa Kit to create an outfit inspired by the colourful clothing used in traditional First Nations dances. Dangling decorations are common on such outfits, and I thought the hanging wisteria pattern on the sleeves of the kimono would mimic this. I also included a wrapped shawl with a fringe for this effect. I would have liked to include some jingles too, but time was not on my side with regards pulling things together. I also had hopes to use some lovely beaded moccasins provided by Erica Pai, but they ended up being much to big for our model.
