For this photo I propped my iPhone against the same white bedsheet in the laptop photo. I used a desktop lamp to add more lighting to the photo. I zoomed in on the side of the phone but keeping the apple logo in the top left 1/3.
For editing I made the photo black and white and I increased the contrast. I tried to increase the exposure however the reaction from the iPhone did not go as planned so the background is not as clean as in the other photo.
How can you emphasize basic shapes and space to create a visually appealing photograph?
This is not a unique shape, upon seeing it everyone knows what it is, however the focus on the side and the contrast between the smooth surface of the iPhone and the wrinkled sheet makes a soothing effect,
