In 2007, Istanbul authorities decided to bring into service. After a three-year-long restoration project that began in 2008 and cost US$11 million, the bath-house re-opened in May 2011 and for the first time visitors was got the chance to try out this fascinating16th-century Ayasofya Hürrem Sultan Hamam.
It was built and designed for Suleiman the Magnificent’s scheming wife Roxelana by the great architect Mimar Sinan. It is located in Sultanahmet Square. The 75 m (246 ft) long structure is designed in the style of classical Ottoman baths having two symmetrical separate sections for males and females.
Lie on marble floor and listen the sound of running water echoing around stupendous domes while an attendant rubbing you with a coarse bath glove. They provide bath basic and luxurious bath services , including massages and fully-body clay masks. Choose one and unwind yourself!
